Deliveries by referral from an agency only at this time. E.g. SHIP (Services & Housing in the Province), DAFHT (Dufferin Area Family Health Team), Police Services (OPP, OPS), Paramedics, DCAFS (Dufferin Children and Family Services), Hospital/other Social Worker, etc

Referrals need to be submitted by noon for delivery the following day. We will deliver Monday/Tuesday/Thursday/Friday between 1:30 and 4:30 pm.  Orders that are received on Tuesday will be delivered Thursday and orders received on Friday will be delivered Monday.

Deliveries will be dropped in front of the individual’s home and a knock or door buzzer will be used to let person know the food has been delivered.  For individuals that live in locked apartment complexes or building a phone number will need to be supplied on the referral form.  A call will be made to the client when the delivery person arrives, the food will be unloaded & delivery person will wait to ensure the food has been picked up by the client.

We will be providing a box of non perishables for either 1-3 people or 4+ people. Please circle small (1-3) or large (4+) for hamper size. The boxes are prepacked so if a client finds items they can not use we ask they donate them at any grocery store Food bank bin so we can redistribute them at a later date.

The referral form indicates a number of perishable items they can choose from.  Milk, eggs, meats are based on the age and number of persons in the household. The list of available fresh products may change from week to week based on donations and availability.

Kidzone is a food parcel with yogurt, cheese strings, fruit, vegetables, snacks & granola bars.

We have increased the amount of food we distribute to try ensure a consistent source of food.  Individuals may access the Food Bank every two weeks.
