board of directors
The Board of the Orangeville Food Bank is a governance board. Board Directors are volunteers who work collaboratively with the Executive Director and senior management to ensure the food bank delivers on its fiduciary and strategic plan responsibilities. Directors participate in Board deliberations and decision-making in matters of policy, finance, programs, personnel and advocacy. The Board is ultimately responsible for organizational governance, strategic plan implementation, policy development, financial oversight, advocacy, fundraising support and Executive Director support/guidance.
There are several Board committees, including Governance, Finance, and Projects, that meet regularly to provide oversight of these critical areas. Committees are composed of both Board members and members of the public.
