Governance

The Board of the Orangeville Food Bank is a governance board.  Board Directors work collaboratively with the Executive Director and senior management to ensure the food bank delivers on its fiduciary and strategic plan responsibilities. Directors participate in Board deliberations and decision-making in matters of policy, finance, programs, personnel and advocacy. The Board is ultimately responsible for organizational governance, strategic plan implementation, policy development, financial oversight, advocacy, fundraising support and Executive Director support/guidance.

There are several Board committees, including Governance, Finance, Community and Operations, that meet regularly to provide oversight of these critical areas. Committees are composed of both Board members and members of the public.

Board meeting schedule

The Board normally meets bimonthly. However, frequent update meetings are being held at this time to enhance responsiveness to ongoing changes. Dates/times are available by calling the food bank.
